Categories of Membership

• General Membership - May vote, hold office, receive monthly publication (Master Pin), and pays a member price for CEUs (education).
• Business Membership -
• One person (whose name is on the application) may vote, hold office, and receive monthly publication (Master Pin). Up to 18 employees, holding ‘pocket cards’ may receive a discount price for CEUs (education).
• Individual Membership -May not vote, cannot hold office, may receive monthly publication (Master Pin), and may pay a member price for CEUs (education).
• Student / Apprentice Membership - May not vote, cannot hold office, may receive the monthly publication (Master Pin), and pay a member price for CEU (education). This category is limited to 2 years.
• Associate Membership - One person (whose name is on the application) may receive monthly publication (Master Pin) and have a standard size ad in each monthly publication (Master Pin). Not allowed to vote or hold office.

General Membership

General Membership is for any individual who has been actively engaged in the locksmithing profession or has been associated with the locksmithing profession and meets one or both of the following and the submission of a completed current Membership Application:

2. has worked in the locksmithing profession or been associated with the locksmithing profession for at least 6 months and

• provides 2 character references
• provides 2 business references
• sponsorship by  a General member in good standing
• photo (head & shoulder) 3”X3”
• be at least 18 years of age
• (Use the application Membership with NO ‘pocket card’)

The General Member may vote, hold office, receive monthly publication (Master Pin), and pays a member price for CEUs (education).

Business Membership is for a business that has been actively engaged in the locksmithing profession, has more than 6 registered employees, and the owner/manager (name on the application) meets one or both of the following and the submission of a completed current Membership Application:

2. has worked in the locksmithing profession or been associated with the locksmithing profession for at least 6 months and

• provides 2 character references
• provides 2 business references
• sponsorship by  a General member in good standing
• photo (head & shoulder) 3”X3”
• be at least 18 years of age
• (Use the application Membership with NO ‘pocket card’)

The Business Member one person (whose name is on the application) may vote, hold office, and receive monthly publication (Master Pin). Up to 18 employees, holding ‘pocket cards’ may receive a discount price for CEUs (education).

Individual Membership is for any individual or business that has been actively engaged in the locksmithing profession, has 6 or less registered employees, and the owner/manager (name on the application) meets one or both of the following and the submission of a completed current Membership Application:

2. has worked in the locksmithing profession or been associated with the locksmithing profession for at least 6 months and

• provides 2 character references
• provides 2 business references
• sponsorship by  a General member in good standing
• photo (head & shoulder) 3”X3”
• be at least 18 years of age
• Use the application Membership with NO ‘pocket card’)

The Individual Member (name on application) may not vote, cannot hold office, may receive monthly publication (Master Pin), and a member price for CEUs (education).

Student/Apprentice Membership is for an individual (may not be owner/manager) who has been actively engaged in the locksmithing profession or has been associated with learning the locksmithing profession and meets all of the following and the submission of a completed Student/Apprentice Application:

• works for a Licensured/Registrated/Institutional Locksmith
• may not be the owner or manager of a Locksmith Company
• sponsorship by the employer, who is a General Member in good standing
• be at least 16 years of age
• Use the application Membership Student/Apprentice)

The Student/Apprentice Member (name on application) may not vote, cannot hold office, may receive the monthly publication (Master Pin), and a member price for CEU (education). The Student/Apprentice Member is limited to 2 years, at which time a new membership application must be submitted.

Associate Membership is for an individual or business that is involved and/or engaged in the security or security hardware filed, or assists and /or supports the locksmith profession of any company engaged in the security hardware industry. To be considered for Associate Membership they must meet the following criteria:

• sponsorship by a General Member in good standing
• submission of a completed application for Associate Business Membership
• (Use the application Membership Associate)

The Associate Member (name on the application) may receive one monthly publication (Master Pin) and have a standard size ad in each monthly publication (Master Pin). The Associate Member does not vote or hold office but may receive a discounted price for CEU (education).
